Brandon Kennedy, M.D.
Dr. Kennedy is a first-generation college graduate of the University of Michigan, where he received a scholarship to play collegiate basketball, graduated Summa Cum Laude, and received the Distinguished Student Leadership Award, which is given to one graduating senior each year. He received his medical degree in Detroit from Wayne State University, where he graduated top of his class with both Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honors.
Dr. Kennedy completed his ophthalmology residency training at the renowned Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. He then pursued a surgical vitreoretinal fellowship at the prestigious Casey Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon, where he was named the Fellow of the Year, received national grants for his vitreoretinal research, and helped establish the global retina sector following his passion and international experience volunteering in Tanzania, Haiti, and American Samoa.
As a board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Kennedy is interested in advancing retina care through innovative surgical techniques, advancing clinical trial research, and continuing to volunteer his skills globally. Outside of work, Dr. Kennedy enjoys skiing, golfing, traveling the world, and spending time with his family.
