Christopher Chung, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Chung was born and raised in the Bay Area, CA. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry & cell biology and a master’s degree in immunology. He earned his medical degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine before returning to California to obtain his ophthalmology residency training at the Los Angeles County Medical Center + USC Roski Eye Institute. He then completed his vitreoretinal surgery training at the UIC Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Chung is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Vit-Buckle Society.
Dr. Chung specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of medical and surgical retinal diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular disease, complex retinal detachment, macular surgery, ocular trauma, and complications of anterior segment surgery.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Chung enjoys watching and playing soccer, golf, and baseball. He also enjoys spending time with his friends and family, cooking, and local travel.
